Critical Incident & Trauma Training Testimonials
Solihull Bereavement Counselling Service
I was recently asked to deliver some Trauma Debriefing training for forty five Counsellor's of Solihull Bereavement Counselling Service.
The day was designed as being both teaching and interactive using live examples of how to work with trauma in a clinical context.
The delegates all dealt with clients who had experienced bereavement and were very knowledgeable around the area of bereavement. However they wanted to gain insight into identifying trauma within their potential clients and in addition, techniques to use within the therapeutic session.
Below are the reviews left by delegates on the day:
"Good presentation highly relevant to our work, could we please have more at some stage"
"Recognising trauma and helping the client identify this was most useful to learn more about"
"I found the training really helpful, it has helped me to connect this to some of the clients I have seen, highly relevant"
"Good to understand the "Fight and Flight" responces and implications to the body and to normalise for the client"
"Good to understand low level and high level trauma and PTSD. Good to work in groups on case studies"
"Great to receive training from someone so knowledgeable on their subject area"
"Enlightening to learn how powerful the effects of hormones are on the body. Also how stress can make us so critically ill"
"Good to learn post critical assessment techniques. To also identify the difference between triage and counselling"
"How to recognise trauma in bereavement was most beneficial to my practise"
