Research has proven that 70% of employees that access counselling whilst off sick return to work after a very short period of time . Many employers offer employees this service Employee Assisted Programmes, which entitle their staff to a fixed amount of counselling sessions usually up to 8, to enable them to look at the issues that are resulting in stress and ways in which to manage there stress levels.
Often we take on negative coping strategies and counselling will help help the individual identify positive coping strategies which will reduce there stress levels and enhance there ability to return to work.
